Small Commercially Operated Electric Fleets (GOELK)

Within the joint project „Gewerblich operierende Elektro-Kleinflotten GO ELK!“ five small fleets each with five electric vehicles are provided for commercial operation within the initiative „Schaufenster Elektromobilität“ of the German federal government. Partners are E.ON New Build & Technology and the Hochschule Ruhr West – University of Applied Sciences. The research focus of PGS comprises various aspects with respect to battery aging evaluation for electric vehicles with high distance performance:

  • Periodic State of Health (SoH) measurements
  • Acquisition and analysis of field test data
  • Battery cell aging under laboratory conditions

Furthermore, the consumer acceptance will be analyzed. For this purpose the impact of intelligent charging strategies on battery aging and the effect of fast charging on driver acceptance will be evaluated in two phases.
