RWTH awards Otto Junker Prizes 2019: Marc Helmer receives award
At a ceremony, RWTH graduates Oliver Beyß, Marc Helmer, Lukas Ortmann and Marcus Sommerfeld received the Otto Junker Prizes 2019 for their outstanding academic achievements. The Otto Junker Prize is awarded annually to RWTH students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology and the Materials Science and Engineering Division of the Faculty of Georesources and Materials Engineering.
Marc Helmer, born in September 1993, graduated from high school in Münsingen, then studied industrial engineering, specialising in electrical power engineering, and graduated with an M.Sc. from ISEA. He also spent 15 months at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm as part of the "Top International Managers in Engineering" (T.I.M.E.) double master's program. The Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes and the Network² support program supported Helmer with a scholarship. He also received the TRIANEL Prize 2015, the Aachen VDE Prize 2014 and the Springorum Medal for outstanding academic achievements in 2019. Helmer now works for AUDI AG in Ingolstadt in the area of Integrated Control and Product Planning.
