The most important issues to be considered before your stay in Germany:

• Knowledge of the German language is desirable for diploma/master/small theses, very good English knowledge is absolutely mandatory.
• Residence permit / Visa (not necessary for EU citizens)
• Work permit (not necessary for students)
• Accommodation
• Health and accident insurance
• Social insurance (not necessary for students)
• Banking account
• Health care (e.g. vaccinations)
